The latest boxing news from Brent
Unbeaten Wembley lightweight Youssef Khoumari made it five wins from five in the pro ranks with victory over Michael Mooney at York Hall on Saturday.
The 22-year-old recorded a points victory over his Worcester rival on a Sinfield Star promotion as the famous east London venue.
In what was an entertaining and competitive contest between two warriors, it was the man known as ‘Super’ who was give the decision on the judges’ cards.
Khoumari has been taken the distance in each of his five fights since turning pro in September last year, but is yet to lose a round.
That certainly shows the lightweight’s stock is continually rising as the former IQ Neasden man looks to make his way in the professional game.
And the 22-year-old will want to maintain his unbeaten record for some time yet as the Wembley prospect begins to tgive serious thought to shots at regional titles in the near future.
