Aspiring athletes are being urged to sign up for Track Academy’s Indoor Sprint Challenge at Willesden Sports Centre on Saturday December 22.

Certified by British Athletics, the track will open at 11am for a warm-up, followed by round one of the 60m sprint for all ages at midday.

A 60m hurdles race, for under-13s and upwards, will take place at 1.30pm, followed by the second round of 60m at 2pm and the day will end with free races for toddlers, aged between two and four, and junior multi-skills for ages five to seven.

Track Academy founder Connie Henry said: “We can’t wait to see what our competitors will bring to the track at the Indoor Sprint Challenge.

“It’s set to be a really fun afternoon and we’re sure there will be a fantastic atmosphere. Spectators are very welcome too, to help cheer on their friends and family as they race.”

Competitors aged eight and upwards can sign up now at entry4sports.co.uk/athletes/entryform.

Early bird online entry costs £5 until midnight on Sunday, December 9. Late online entry costs £7 until 3pm on Friday, December 21, with entry on the day priced at £10.

The fee paid includes both rounds one and two of the 60m race. The entry desk opens at 10am, and registration closes 30 minutes before each event.
