Police are still appealing for witnesses five days after a woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Kingsbury.

Officers were called to a crash on Kingsbury Road in Brent just before 12.30am on Thursday (November 7).

Emergency services attended the scene and found a car had hit a female pedestrian.

The driver of the car did not stop at the scene.

The injured woman, aged in her 60s, was treated by medics but she died at the scene.

Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Police are appealing to those who witnessed the incident, with dashcam footage or who knows the identity of the driver.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Detectives are investigating a fatal collision at Kingsbury Road, NW9.

“Police were called at 12.27am on Thursday, November 7 to reports of a collision at Kingsbury Road in Brent.

“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. At the scene a car had been in collision with a female pedestrian.

“The driver of the car did not stop at the scene.

“The injured woman, aged in her 60s, was treated by medics, but despite their efforts, she sadly died at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
