A man has been arrested after a woman was sexually assaulted and robbed as she walked alone.
The incident happened on Sunday, August 11, at around 3.30pm in Hillfield Avenue, Wembley.
The woman sustained minor injuries and did not require medical treatment, Scotland Yard said.
After the incident was reported, Detective Chief Inspector Jinesh Solankee, from the Met's North West area unit, described what had happened as a “horrible ordeal”.
He added: “Women should feel safe to walk alone, and we are dedicated to protecting women and girls and eradicating violence against them.”
A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and sexual assault today (August 22).
