Filming has been delayed as police continue to investigate a shooting that killed a teenage boy.

The boy, 15, was found injured after reports of a shooting near Hazlewood Crescent, Ladbroke Grove, on Sunday (July 21) at 7.20pm.

Emergency services were called to the Emslie Horniman's Pleasance park, which is a short distance from Maida Vale.

They tried treating the boy at the scene but despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead.

The Metropolitan Police says work is ongoing to identify him and inform his next of kin. No other injuries were reported.

Film crews were due to come to an area next to the park for David Mackenzie’s heist thriller Fuze, which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Theo James, but this has been delayed.

The film is based on construction workers in London unearthing an unexploded Second World War bomb, forcing the area to be evacuated.

Its synopsis reads: “Opportunistic thieves use the chaos as cover for an elaborate heist.”

It is understood that families were enjoying a day out at the annual ‘Park Lime’ event at the park, which is organised for families with music and food stalls.

Six males, whose ages have not been specified at this time, were arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody.

A crime scene remains in place near the park.
