A road was closed off after a baby fell from a balcony.

Police were called at about 12.10pm on Wednesday (July 17) to reports of a child that fell from a height on Exton Road, Stonebridge.

Pictures showed dozens of emergency service vehicles, including police and ambulances, surrounding Hilltop Avenue.

A London Air Ambulance also landed in the area.

A baby boy, who is 11 months old, was taken to hospital for treatment.

The Metropolitan Police say that despite the fall, his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

There have been no arrests made.
