The family of a woman stabbed to death at a bus stop have paid tribute to a mother and grandmother who was "devoted to her family".
Anita Mukhey, 66, was stabbed to death in Burnt Oak Broadway, in Edgware, on May 9.
Emergency services, including London's Air Ambulance, were called at around 11.50am.
Despite their efforts, Anita died at the scene.
Paying tribute to Anita the family said in a statement: “Anita Mukhey, 66 years old, was a married mother and grandmother devoted to her family, who also worked part-time in the NHS as a medical secretary.
“The family ask for privacy at this difficult time.”
Jalal Debella, 22, was arrested on suspicion of murder in the Colindale area on May 9.
He appeared at Willesden Willesden Magistrates’ Court on May 11 charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
He was remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday (May 14).
