Multiple police cordons were put in place near Brent Civic Centre and Wembley Arena as the incident was dealt with.
Our reporter Joseph Reaidi, who is at the scene, confirmed multiple shops near Wembley Arena including the White Horse, Five Guys, and Estadio Lounge were closed.
These shops have since reopened, according to our reporter.
A civic centre worker, who wishes to be kept anonymous, told the Brent and Kilburn Times: “Because it was a suspect package we sent all staff home, at the moment we do not have enough staff to let people in.
”I would advise if it’s not urgent to go home and come back tomorrow.
”We are trying to bring back our staff.”
All police cordons have since been lifted, but Brent and Civic Centre remains closed.
