People living in Brent Cross were warned to keep their windows shut after large amounts of smoke billowed from a blaze in an underground car park.
Around 40 firefighters were called to Waterloo Road just after 3pm yesterday afternoon (February 22) having received 10 calls about the blaze.
A fire had broken out in an underground car park below a three-storey housing block.
People living nearby were told to keep their windows and doors closed due to “the large amount of smoke being produced”.
London Fire Brigade also advised people to avoid the area while the incident was ongoing.
The fire was under control by around 4.15pm and the cause is now being investigated.
Crews from Hendon, Willesden, West Hampstead fire stations all attended the scene.
