Illuminaze walkthrough neon maze Winter at Wembley Park

Starting on December 2, the Luminaze is a walkthrough attraction just in front of the iconic Wembley Stadium

Created in partnership with Emergency Exit Arts, the installation has a specially curated soundscape designed to envelop audiences, and 18 neon murals, which align with the maze's mirrored walls to intensify the impact of the lightshow.

Visitors can touch or sit on some of the artworks, and at the centre of the maze is a four metre tall Hourglass, which features hidden mirrors and internal 3D video projections creating a show featuring soundbites from residents talking about living in the neighbourhood.

Five artists: Patrick Bullock, Emma Corck, Sam Noble, Amy West and Craig West have explored themes of belonging and migration, inspiring visitors to think about what 'home' means to them. Alongside galaxies, constellations, and elements of the natural world, there's a Living Room recreating a wintry scene of fireplace, sofa, bookcases and lamps.

Justin Korotva, a spokesperson for Wembley Park said: "We are delighted to present the Luminaze as part of our free winter activities programme. The neighbourhood has long been committed to exploring important themes through its collection of temporary and permanent artworks and this fascinating installation takes that forward in spectacular fashion."

In addition artist Patrick Bullock has created two new murals responding to the idea of place and community which include hibernating animals against the Wembley Park skyline and the outlines of hands coming together. The Luminaze is fully accessible to wheelchairs and buggies, and runs December 2 until January 2. It's part of Winter at Wembley Park which runs throughout December and includes festive markets and choral performances each weekend in the run-up to Christmas, seasonal events at BOXPARK Wembley, retail offers at London Designer Outlet, plus a stunning, nine-metre-tall Christmas tree on Market Square.
