A man has been charged with the murder of a man stabbed to death in a Wembley park.
Wael Farroukh, 18, of Llanover Road , Wembley, has today (July 27) been charged with the murder of Milton Hurlington.
He was also charged with possession of an offensive weapon and will appear in custody at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today.
This follows an investigation into the murder of Milton, 42, who died after a stabbing at King Edward VII Park in Wembley last Monday (July 17).
He is understood to be of Jamaican heritage and was described by loved ones as a “loving son, father, uncle and brother”.
Officers were called near to the Dene entrance of the park at 9.49pm to reports of a man with a stab injury.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, he died at the scene.
A post-mortem examination established cause of death as blood loss following a stab wound to the arm.
Police say they had contact with Milton earlier in the day before his death, the circumstances of which are unclear.
Farroukh was arrested on Tuesday (July 25) along with a 17-year-old male.
Last Sunday, the Metropolitan Police said five males, all in their tens to early 20s, were arrested on suspicion of murder.
Four of the males have been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in late August, the other has been released with no further action.
Two men and a woman were also arrested at the scene of the crime on suspicion of murder and have been released on bail to return at a future date.
The Crimestoppers charity has offered anyone a £20,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murder.
