COURAGEOUS onlookers threw objects at a window to try to wake people sleeping in a flat as smoke rose from a fire in a shop below.
Most of the Insaf Supermarket shop in Neasden Lane was damaged in a fire during the early hours of Sunday (July 2) at 12.35am.
The London Fire Brigade were called by seven people, and in a video shared online a man could be heard saying “I called, they’re coming”.

While thick smoke billowed from the shop, a group of males were captured throwing items at the flat's window.
Seven people from the first floor of the three-storey building were led to safety by firefighters and there were no reports of any injuries, the brigade said.
Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were at the scene and the fire was under control by 2.27am.
The fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
