A popular pub is ready to reopen months after its previous owner was reportedly given notice to close with just a few days' notice.
People have been wondering what the future of the Rising Sun pub on Harlesden Road, Willesden Green, entails after scaffolding was seen outside the watering hole in recent months.
The new management say the pub has been fully refurbished and will be welcoming punters once more on Friday (June 23) with a grand opening taking place from 5pm.
It is understood that food will also be served at the pub at a later date, with more news to be announced at a later date.
On the Nextdoor social network, one person responded: "Greatest news I've heard about for a while."
The Rising Sun has been a popular spot for those in Willesden, particularly within the Irish community and served punters for decades.
In February this year, the previous landlady Noreen Flynn announced the sudden closure online: "I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers who have supported me and bar staff, it’s very much appreciated.
“Unfortunately I have been given notice to close [the] pub next week. Again, thank you all."
The Brent & Kilburn Times tried to contact the pub's owners for comment but did not receive a response.
