A third person has been arrested after a double stabbing where one woman was killed.
A man, 23, was arrested in Harrow at around 6pm last night (June 13) on suspicion of murder and taken into custody.
It comes after police were called to a residential property in Neeld Crescent, Wembley on Tuesday to reports of a stabbing and emergency services treated two women for stab injuries.
Despite their efforts, a woman, 27, died at the scene – but the Met Police said that the next of kin are yet to be informed.
A second woman, 28, was taken to hospital with stab injuries that were found to be not life-threatening.
Two people, a 24-year-old man and 23-year-old woman, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
The man remains in custody and the woman has been released without further action.
Det Ch Insp Linda Bradley, from the Met's Specialist Crime Command, said: "I recognise the significant concern this incident has caused in the community and I would like to reassure the public that a dedicated team of detectives are working to establish what happened.
"Local officers will remain in the area over the coming days to respond to any concerns."
A post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.
