A 16-year-old Jewish girl with Down’s Syndrome and her friend were reportedly assaulted on a train in north London.
North London Jewish community watch group Shomrim claims the two girls were attacked when on a train between Edgware and Colindale.
The British Transport Police (BTP) have confirmed they are investigating the incident, believed to have taken place on May 28 at around 8.30pm.
A BTP spokesperson said: “BTP received a report of a hate crime on a train to Colindale, which involved two teenage girls being assaulted.
“The incident is believed to have taken place on May 28 at around 8.30pm.
“Hate crime will not be tolerated on the rail network and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”

On Twitter, Stamford Hill Shomrim said that the girls were subject to a “dual hate crime” which targeted both their religion and disability, leaving them “traumatised”.
