A ‘firearm discharge’ in Wembley prompted a swift police response yesterday evening (April 8).
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that officers rushed to Preston Road at around 8.20pm after the incident was reported to them.
A police cordon was reportedly in place until the early hours of this morning, causing the diversion of bus routes 79, 204 and 223.
There were no reported injuries at the scene and officers continue to make enquiries.
A police spokesperson said: “Police were called at about 8.20pm on April 8 to reports of a firearm discharge on Preston Road in Wembley.
“Officers attended. There were no reported injuries. Enquiries continue.”
