A pipe band from a major north London Hindu temple took the sound of bagpipes to the Carnival of Nice.
The Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa band from the Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury flew over to France to take part of the parade of lights and flower parade during the two-week festival.
This year marked the 150th anniversary of the event, and 26 members of the Kingsbury band including 10 newly initiated members did their part to make it a special one.
Band member Vasant Savani, 17, said: “Whilst being involved in the Carnival Parade of Lights, we had the privilege of seeing extravagant floats.
“The atmosphere was uplifting, which made us feel all the more privileged to be able to give the crowd a good time and represent Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury.”
The annual festival is one of the biggest carnivals in the world, rivalling Rio, Venice and others.
