Police say an officer was attacked and another racially abused as they tried to tackle a street brawl.
Emergency services were called to reports of two people fighting in Manor Park Road, Harlesden, at 6.16pm on Monday (February 6).
But violence was directed at officers trying to tackle the situation.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “During the incident, the man assaulted one officer and made a racist comment towards another officer.
“He was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker and a racially-aggravated public order offence.”
A man in his 30s was taken to hospital with a head injury but his condition was found to be not life-threatening and he has since been discharged.
A suspect was taken into custody at a north London police station.
Enquiries to establish the circumstances of the fight are ongoing, any witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting CAD 6005/06Feb.
