A man reported to be carrying a “samurai sword” has been arrested.
Police were called to Willesden Lane, near the junction with Torbay Road in Kilburn, to reports of a man “acting aggressively” with a sword on Friday (January 20).
Officers attended after 11.30am and arrested a man, 63, on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon.
He remains in custody at a north London police station.
One source tells the Brent & Kilburn Times that the weapon in question was a samurai sword and that a man was threatening people with the weapon.
Metropolitan Police says that no injuries were reported and enquiries are ongoing.
