A man has been charged in connection with murder after a fatal stabbing.
Police were called to reports of stabbing outside a restaurant called The Aura in Harrow Road, Sudbury, at 1.50am on Sunday.
The victim died a short time later despite the efforts of emergency services. He has been identified as Givani Espuet, 21, from north London.
Givani was stabbed after a fight erupted involving around 30 people, which then spilled out onto the street.
His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
The Met says that a post-mortem examination will take place today.
Theo Simon, 33, of Gladstone Avenue, Wood Green, was charged Monday (October 31) with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
He will appear in custody at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today (November 1).
